Congress 4-Blade Jackknife
This truly American pattern dates back to the 1820s. In large versions, like our Marble’s Congress, it was also commonly called a tobacco knife. This was probably because the main sheepsfoot blade was ideal for cutting a chew from the plug. The two smaller opposing pen blades are razor sharp and usually reserved for finer cutting tasks. The small saber blade that transversely opposes the main blade has a razor sharp edge and a fine point for cutting small items or making pinholes. The convex handle really fills your hand and makes cutting tasks very easy. The Marble’s Congress penknife is one of the finest examples of a genuine American pattern.
